Description
Iconic cow's milk cheese from Galicia
Tetilla D.O.P is the iconic cheese of the Galician region of northern Spain. This mild semi-hard cheese has a pleasantly milky, slightly acidic tang and is rich in fat on the palate with a mild, almost buttery flavour. It melts into long, unctuous strings and makes a delicious breakfast cheese.
It is occasionally served with membrillo and accompanies young, acidic and fresh wines such as Albariño or Ribeiro, or with red wines with little ageing, sweet wines made from moscatel grapes and even with light beers.
