In addition, mackerel contains a high level of Omega 3 fatty acids, proteins, vitamins and minerals, such as selenium, phosphorus and potassium. This makes it a very complete, nutritious food with multiple health benefits.
In 1986, the Pacheco brothers established Herpac, drawing on their extensive experience running a fish shop in the coastal town of Barbate.
Their dedication and hard-earned reputation led Francisco and Diego to expand their venture by producing dried tuna. They dried the tuna manually using traditional methods, relying solely on the sun and wind.
Herpac now operates an 8,500 square meter facility, three shops and exports globally.
